The fashion was adapted, ethical and sustainable and included such a diverse range of talented designers.
The ‘Future of Fashion’ show was opened by Host, ‘Bernie Yates’, fashion lecturer at Central Saint Martins, contributing editor at Elle UK.

Bernie welcomed everyone and introduced the ‘The Future of Fashion’ Show, setting the atmosphere of excitement, inspiration and impact.
The show commenced with a thought-provoking panel discussion, facilitated by ‘Caryn Franklin, MBE’, fashion and identity commentator and activist. Caryn Franklin was the former TV presenter on the BBC’s prime time TV Show ‘The Clothes Show’.
Other panel members included, ‘Harriet Posner’, Author and Educator at Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design. ; ‘Ryan Zaman’, disabilities advocate and editor at Circle Zero Eight . ‘Victoire Kivandou’ who works with fashion brands to champion diversity, inclusion and sustainability. Also, ‘Victoria Ann Jenkins’ CEO, Founder and Adaptive Fashion Designer at ‘Unhidden’.

It was so refreshing to hear influential voices in the fashion industry talk about the importance of sustainability, adaptability and making that a reality for brands and also people’s buying habits.
The panel brought attention to the barriers to adaptable fashion and how much there is still to be done to bring down such obstacles to move the fashion industry forward, to make it more inclusive, sustainable and accessible for all.
Following on from the Panel, the ‘Future of Fashion Show’, welcomed the wonderful and delightful musical talent of grammy nominee, ‘Anna Torres’, a Brazilian singer who now resides in Paris.

It was then time for the people to take to the catwalk.

Royal College of Art (RCA)
An amazing project by RCA students, that took the classic raincoat to a whole new level, completely co-designed with wheelchair user, Leanne Thompson, from conception to product design and finish, ensuring all of Leanne’s practical needs were met, as well as producing a stylish, fashionable and protective rain coat for any weather.
The visionary minds behind this collection were students; Jacob Jiang, Christina Tang, and Huili Jin. They brought their creative ideas to life with ‘Yasmin Kates’, leading the innovative project. Their dedication to inclusive design and co-production is a perfect example of how fashion can be elegant, chic and accessible.

Lenny Lopes and Megan Dennis
Lenny Lopes is a trailblazing, Brazilian artist, redefining contemporary abstraction within London’s dynamic art scene. Her vibrant acrylic masterpieces combine mixed media with cutting-edge techniques, creating stunning psychedelic and illusionistic effects. Inspired by the Art Pop movement, Lenny weaves together digital photography, resin, and pigments to craft pieces that celebrate colour, creativity, and the raw beauty of imperfection. Her art transcends personal expression to speak to universal themes, illustrating the transformative power of creativity in today’s ever-changing cultural landscape. Lenny’s collection, Freedom!, stands as a bold testament to art’s boundless potential.
Megan Dennis, also known as “A Mad Hatter,” is a visionary designer who fuses inventive creativity with a deep exploration of materials. Her work is profoundly shaped by her experiences with severely disabled and young adults with autism, where she discovered the crucial role that texture, touch, and vision play in communication and well-being. Focusing on wheelchair users—particularly those with headrests—Megan reimagines hat design, creating pieces that harmonise style, comfort, and inclusivity. Her creations are more than just fashion; they are a personal expression that challenges the conventional, proving that fashion should adapt to the individual, not the other way around.

The finale of Lenny and Megan’s Collaboration was a statement of unity and equality.
Oliver Watson, the Great Britain Paralympic, wheelchair fencing medalist, modelled a striking cape on the runway, as Lenny Lopes created the artwork live on the catwalk. The word “EQUALITY” was boldly painted onto the cape in real time, making a powerful statement of inclusivity and empowerment.

After the catwalk, we were all played a video of a deeply moving song by ‘The Frequency School’, which is the first song in history featuring women from all 195 countries around the world, saying the word “Equality” in their native language.

The after show party started with a vibrant surprise, a Brazilian Dancer ‘Amanda Siqueira’ who got everyone up on the floor dancing. Everyone thoroughly entertained and all enjoyed the rest of the night at the beautiful venue, Kindred, London.

‘The Future of Fashion Show’, was inspirational in so many ways.
I hope more people will be educated in sustainable and equitable fashion for all. I hope to see more transformation in many spheres. There are still many barriers to overcome, as addressed by the expert panel, however, with the determination and gumption of the people involved in the ‘Bullock Inclusion’ show, I truly believe we can and we will, achieve a more inclusive world for all.
