I had the utmost privilege to be the wedding photographer for the wonderful Bride and Groom, David and Dawn at their lovely summer wedding held at the luxury Essex wedding venue in Witham, Braxted Park.

The moment I spoke to David and Dawn I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them, they are the most sweetest couple, so sincerely in love and who cherish family wholeheartedly. Their wedding day was to be natural, fun and relaxed and all of that was surely the case all the way through to the wedding day and beyond.

The day before the wedding, front of house manager Ami contacted me to make sure I had everything I needed. The simplest of gestures making such a difference to feeling so accommodated by all of the wonderful staff at Braxted Park. This surely set the tone for how the whole of the wedding continued to flow, super organisation, precision and timeliness, with everything flowing so simply and elegantly from one chapter to the next of Dave and Dawn’s wonderful wedding story.

The venue lends itself to that flow, with the ceremony flowing neatly to confetti, to drinks reception to the wedding breakfast. The intricate details of the layout and the ample opportunities for incredible photographs around the venue due to sublime backdrops everywhere you look, making it not only a formidable find for the marrying couple but also a photographers haven of wonderful portrait opportunities.

The Bridal Suite was light and bright with lots of room and an incredible place for the first look that Dawn experienced with her dear Father and her Son.

The Groomsmen got ready in a beautiful cottage with it’s very own secluded garden. All tremendously well kept and looked after by the lovely gardener’s at Braxted Park.

The Ceremony was breathtaking with beautiful personal vows shared between them, not many dry eyes to be seen and many moments of great laughter and joy shared too.

The outdoor summer games were so much fun for all of the children, and of course the adults enjoyed the games too. Especially, giant Jenga!

The entrance for the wedding breakfast was great, with white handkerchiefs being waved around and a beaming Dave and Dawn coming in to everyone cheering for them, celebrating this wonderful milestone in their lives.

Games ensued, speeches were heartfelt and moving, joyful and funny too! Thank you gifts meant a lot for those receiving them, hugs a plenty and cheers a many!

The magical, stand out moment for me was when the curtains were pulled back to reveal Dave and Dawn on the dance floor ready for their first dance together as Mr & Mrs. The wow factor of the reaction in the faces of their children, family and friends at the unveiling of what was beyond the curtains and then the song “Pointless” by Lewis Capaldi begins. “Everything is pointless without you”. You can surely see that is true for Dave and Dawn and their family. Family meaning everything to every one of them.

Tracey, reading your lovely words has brought back all the emotion of a truly wonderful day. Your words have literally captured the day to perfection and both Dave and I feel very blessed to have found you as our wedding photographer.
I know I’ve said this to you, but you felt part of our family. You helped me so much to feel relaxed as I was concerned about being in the ‘spotlight’. Your approach was always so calming and supportive and because of this it just felt so natural.
Your photos are just beautiful – a perfect story of our day and we now have a wonderful gallery to remember and reflect upon what was truly an amazing day.
Our thanks also go to all the team at Braxted park, everyone was so professional and friendly; Sophie our wedding planner and Ami and Jodi who ran the day – were honestly just the best – nothing was too much, again you all felt like family. Amazing chiefs who created the best food we’ve ever eaten and a big thank you to all the suppliers (as listed by Tracey), without you our day would have never happened.
Both Dave and I will be forever grateful thank you all and once again to you Tracey and your wonderful colleagues for capturing the day to perfection .xx
